ConnectMed is an Online Patient Portal for all patients that are already registered with Te Kāika.
You can now view lab results and request your repeat prescriptions online*!
(It is FREE and accessible 24/7). Just
click the sign up button to join.

CONNECTMED SIGN UP PROCESS

Be sure to check with us that all your details at Te Kāika are updated. They must be matching to complete the registration process.

ConnectMed is for patients aged 16 years and over.

If more than one member in your whānau is signing up, you each must have your own unique email address.

– See your list of medications and request repeat prescriptions.

Same Day Appointments: Doctor Triage
If you’re quite unwell on the day, call us at 8:45 (9:05 on a Thursday) and our team will ensure one of our doctors call you back.

Please call our reception if your appointment is for any of the following:
– New patient (first appointment)
– Double appointments (30-minute duration)
– Casual appointment
– Insurance medicals
– Driver’s license medicals
– Travel medicals
– Minor surgery
– Combined GP & Nurse consults
– Nurse consultations**
**Please note the following are Nurse appointments need to be booked ahead as they require access to the clinic during the pandemic: Immunisations and vaccinations, cardiovascular checks, cervical smears, diabetes checks, change of dressing, blood pressure checks, removal of sutures, liquid nitrogen, ECG (combined with GP consult), aclasta infusions, depo, and iron infusion.

COVID-19 Comprehensive Health Assessments
– Our nurses and doctors will be organising for all our patients that are susceptible to COVID-19 to have a comprehensive health assessment over the telephone.
– This is an important way to ensure you have a proper health plan during the COVID-19 pandemic.
– Initial assessment is done by one of our nurses and for those most susceptible a telephone consultation with a doctor will follow.

General Practice Costs

GP Phone and Face-to-face Consults
– Free for all enrolled patients under 18 years of age
– $18 for all enrolled patients aged 18 years and over
– $12 for all enrolled patients aged 65 years and over with Community Services Card
– $12 for all enrolled patients over 80 years old
– Casual – CURRENTLY NOT SEEING CASUAL PATIENTS

Nurse Phone and Face-to-face Consults
– Free for all enrolled patients under 18 years of age
– $14 for all enrolled patients 18 – 64 years of age
– $10 for all enrolled patients aged 65 years and over with Community Services Card
– $10 for all enrolled patients over 80 years old
– Costs for procedures vary and may occur a cost on top of the $10 nursing consultation fee.
– Most preventative care consults are at no cost to the patient – please check with your nurse for further information.

ACC surcharge
– Same as phone consult charge for all enrolled patients 18 years and over
– Free for all enrolled patients under 18 years of age

Phone Prescriptions
– $18 to be collected (within 48 hours) – all scripts must be faxed during the COVID-19 Pandemic
– $23 for controlled drug scripts – all scripts must be faxed during the COVID-19 Pandemic
